Escooters - Advice |
||
|
Good Afternoon All
There are further reports about the use of E-Scooters and about them being also taken to local schools in Burntwood. It is illegal to have E-scooters on public roads and these are ONLY allowed on private land. E-scooters are not insured or taxed to be on the roads and can cause a risk to both motorists and pedestrians. I have spotted E-scooters in Burntwood and have taken photos of of these Offenders and then ask local schools if they recognise them so I can speak to parents about the use of E-scooters. I also make Police Patrols aware too and where resources allow they can come a seize the E-scooters off the Offender/s.
If you have any information regarding anyone who has an E-scooter and rides it regularly on our roads then please feel free to email me on racheal.orwin@staffordshire.police.uk or you can call Crime Stoppers or 101.
Many thanks
